is preventive care, crowns and bridges, dental implants,
and cosmetic dentistry. We offer sedation for our
anxious patients. Our commitment is to provide the
most modern, state-of-the-art treatments. Excellence
is achieved by emphasizing continual education for
the doctor, staff and patients, with the goal of helping

Meet
Dr. Mascherin
Dr. Mascherin grew up in New Jersey. She graduated
with honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy. While earning
her undergraduate degree she was awarded membership in Rho Chi
for academic excellence as a pharmacy major. After practicing
pharmacy for 3 years, she continued her education at UNC-CH and
graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1985. The
University of North Carolina Dental School is consistently ranked
among the top in the nation. Dr. Mascherin established her dental
practice in Cary, North Carolina in 1986. She is a licensed pharmacist
in the state of North Carolina.
Dr. Mascherin is actively involved with the Wake
County Dental Society and the American Dental Association. She
is a member of Psi Omega Dental Fraternity and served 2 terms
as chapter president. She is involved in the mentoring program
of the UNC Alumni Association. This program is designed to help
college students who are interested in dentistry. She has sponsored
students from the Medical Science Academy at Athens Drive High
School. |
Dr. Mascherin
is committed to continuing education and is a Fellow of the Academy
of General Dentistry. She has had extensive continuing education
in cosmetic dentistry, implants, occlusion, comprehensive restorative
care (crowns, bridges and dentures), gum therapy, surgery and
root canal therapy. Dr. Mascherin is certified to provide oral
sedation for her patients. She is a graduate of the Misch Institute
of Implantology in Detroit, Michigan. She is a member and fellow
of the International Congress of Oral Implantology.
In her free time, Dr. Mascherin is a singer and soloist with
the North Carolina Master Chorale. She lives in Cary with her
husband, her son Alex and her daughter Ava. |

| Hope
(Office Manager) Hope
has lived in many different parts of the country, but moved
back to North Carolina in 1993. Her business background
was in the mortgage field but she wanted to make a change.
She joined Dr. Mascherin’s team in 1999 and feels
she has found her home here. She has raised five children
and now has six grandchildren. A huge NCSU fan, she enjoys
attending as many games as possible. She also enjoys shopping,
watching her grandchildren play sports, traveling, and decorating.

Ravi
(Clinical Assistant)
Ravi has lived
in Apex, NC since 2001 with her husband and son. She grew
up in beautiful Seattle, Washington but is originally from
India. Ravi graduated from Wake Technical Community College
with a Dental Assisting degree in July of 2004. She graduated
from HighLine Community College with a Medical Assistant
Degree in June of 2000. Ravi has worked in the Dental profession
for 4 years. She has
experience in Periodontics, Oral Surgery, Implantology,
Endodontics, Pediatrics, and IV Sedation. What Ravi loves
best is working with patients. She enjoys spending time
with family and loves outdoor sports. Her hobby is to learn
about other cultures and languages. Ravi is multi-lingual
and speaks Hindi, Punjabi and fluent Spanish. |

| Karon
(Hygienist)
Karon
was born in Raleigh, North Carolina. She graduated in
1983 from Coastal Carolina Community College with a
degree in Hygiene. Karon is married and has two sons
which keep her very busy. After 17 years in the dental
field she continues to dedicate her career to practicing
hygiene and patient education.

Alex (Hygiene Assistant)
Alex grew up in Lexington, NC and is a graduate of N.C. State University. During his time there he earned a B.S. in Zoology and a Masters in Physiology. Alex is an aspiring dentist who joined Dr. Mascherin’s team in October of 2007 as a clinical and administrative assistant. He is recently married and living in Durham, with intentions of attending dental school in the fall of 2009. |

Heath
(Dental Intern)
Heath
grew up in Wendell, NC and graduated from N.C. State University
in May 2007. During his three years at N.C. State, he earned
a B.S. in Chemistry and participated in Marching Band, Gamma
Beta Phi, and the University Scholars Program. He is an aspiring
dentist that joined Dr. Mascherin’s team in August of
2007 as a clinical and administrative assistant. He has intentions
of attending dental school in 2008.

Meshia
(Dental Intern)
Meshia is originally from Winston-Salem,
NC, but recently relocated to the triangle area. In May
of 2004 she graduated from North Carolina State University
with a B.S. in Microbiology and a minor in Africana Studies.
Meshia is currently working with our team as a clinical
and administrative assistant. She has aspirations to apply
to dental school in the near future. Meshia enjoys painting,
traveling, and spending time with family. |

Miguel (Graduated
Dental Intern)
Miguel grew up in Cary, North Carolina
and is a 2002 graduate of NC State University. He is our
most recent aspiring dental student to complete his internship
and move on to a bright career in dentistry. Miguel entered
dental school at UNC Chapel Hill in August 2004. He loves
dental school and is enthusiastic about his future as a
dentist. We are very proud of Miguel and miss him very much! |
